Nike – Summer of Sport, Connector

To celebrate the Euros we created a digital space using our extended reality platform, Connector. This allowed media and EMEA employees to come together virtually despite the covid restrictions.  

We used our Connector platform to create an explorable virtual stadium experience that enabled participants to interact with products, and stories from communities and athletes, and to discover more about Nike’s Move To Zero initiative, which combines sustainability with innovative product design. 


Covid restrictions across Europe prevented Nike’s Communications teams from building brand and product stories with media during The UEFA European Championship.  

 We were able to use our Connector platform to create an explorable, virtual stadium full of content experiences, stories and information. This enabled a wide range of media contacts to access and interact with the latest football, sustainability, and community stories from anywhere in the world. 

 We also developed an Employee-only zone. This was designed to help encourage shared celebration of tournament moments, provide a platform for user-generated content, and broadcast exclusive interactive interviews with Nike’s top football talent by integrating Zoom into the platform. 

 The platform had to accommodate over 15,000 simultaneous users, recognise Nike employees and have content updated daily during the football tournament. 

 Our team created content-filled explorable zones in a virtual stadium, shot product films, designed the UX and produced the secure digital site to the exacting framing of Nike’s digital security specifications.
